Ok, I was riding down the road tonight heading to get Jim-n-Nick's takeout and I plugged in the iPod. Avalon's Total Praise came on. If you haven't heard this song, STOP NOW and go listen to it. iTunes, your local Christian bookstore, borrow the CD from someone, whatever. Just go find it. It's by far the greatest praise song ever. I don't have a sunroof, or my hands woulda been raised out of it. So instead, I just rolled down my window and raised my hand out.
Yes, I did.
It's that good.
What are your favorite praise songs? I would love to hear from you so I can go listen to the ones I haven't heard.
PS - I also think that pretty much anything Travis Cottrell sings would make the "best praise song" list. And Darlene Zschech. Whoa, that chick can sing.
PPS - If Darlene Zschech happens to read this blog (yeah, ok, right), please don't take offense to the word chick. It's a term of endearment from me.
PPPS - If Travis happens to read this blog (again, yeah, ok) I'd like to book you to sing at my daughters' weddings. They're only 7, 2, and 18 months old, but I'm pretty sure you'll still be in the plans when they do get married. You know, when they're 54.

Okay. Yet again, we have proof that we were meant to be friends. Number one, because Total Praise is my absolute JAM. We have sung it several times, most recently a week ago this evening. That song...blows it up. I love it. Number two, inspired by TP and Kirk Franklin, I just recently started an iTunes playlist entitled "Get your praise on" for moments such as you had tonight. My next chart-topping praise hit is, you guessed it, Yolanda. "Victory". What.
Robin,
I've been reading the LPM blogs for awhile and happened upon yours. Thought I would check out your personal blog. My eye caught yours because I too am your age and a mom of three precious girls. I'm your neighbor over here in Georgia. I am so new to this whole blog thing that I have no idea what in the world to do to even create one. I think I'm going to have to do a little studying on this. But it sure is a fun way to communicate. Just wanted to say hello. Thanks for letting me share.
praise Him girl! i love those tunes that make ya wanna belt your voice no matter how it sounds to the neighbors!
totally off the subject...what happened to the mice?
have a great weekend.
I LOVE Shackles by Mary Mary. And You Raise Me Up by Selah. And Call on Jesus by Nicole C. Mullen. And Praise You in This Storm by Casting Crowns. And Grace Like Rain by Todd Agnew... etc...
I ran a hot bath quite some time ago... my 6 yo daughter just came in and said, "Your bath's gonna get cold if you don't stop typing soon."
Yeah, I saw your blog on the LPM website too....you're great! I don't have 3 girls..or any children for that matter, however I have 2 nieces that live with me and my sister. Does that count? :) Have a great week! See you in August!
