It's The Little Things That Amaze Me

I've just discovered StatCounter. Glory be! I'm getting sucked in and I can't break the spell!

I've read posts where people laugh at the Google searches that have directed people to their blog. I've been oh-so-curious about how on EARTH did they figure out how to do that, so I asked. I met some fellow bloggers for dinner Tuesday night (which was super fun and a whole post in itself...stay tuned) and was able to ask blogging questions and actually get real answers.

Because if I ask people outside my bloggy world bloggy questions, I get answers like "are you speaking English?" or "what's a blog?". You know, Harvard level stuff. So I was excited to get to talk to people who were pros at the bloggy language that I'm just learning.

And I found it. StatCounter. And it makes me happy.

And I discovered that The Pioneer Woman has visited my little blog. Maybe she'll invite me over and I can hang out at her cool ranch. You know, because I'm all about meeting cool people. And if they're famous, then I get an extra star for that.

I also discovered that a WHOLE BUNCH of people visit my blog and don't leave a comment. Come on, people. I live for comments. Actually, I don't. I live for my God and my family...but comments make me happy. Really happy.

So thanks for visiting and LEAVE A COMMENT! Because now I know where to find you if you don't!

Oh, and if you're The Pioneer Woman, kiss Charlie for me. Because he looks like my former dog, Dixie, and I miss her like crazy. And if you want to invite me over, I'll see if I can clear my calendar for that.

I was wondering if you could share your newly found knowledge with me. I would love to see who visits me. It was so nice meeting you the other night. I hate we sat across the table from each other and couldn't talk more. Love all those piggies with polka dots!

Oh how Stat Counter is a beautiful evil.
I love mine too, but it IS frustrating to see all the hits with no comment love...

So...please do share. I actually thought, when I first started my blog, that I didn't care in the least who read it. It was for me. Oh, how naive I was about this new world.

So here's your comment love. =)

I found your blog through Melanie Carlisle (she is my cousin) and I have enjoyed reading it so much! We have 2 little girls so it's always fun to hear from moms of girls. I don't know anything about StatCounter thought...I will have to check it out! Thanks for visiting my blog!

on top of statcounter, you can install gostats to get a bigger view of your stats, from what I remember, statcounter stops after 500 hits or 100 hits. (depends on if you upgrade). With gostats there is no limit.

Statcounter sounds interesting! It would be neat to see everyone that visits. I'll have to check it out!!

I have Site Meter on my blog and I LOVE it. I average EIGHT WHOLE HITS A DAY! It makes me very proud. And it's free. It tells me the domain name and where it's located, but not exactly who it is that is visiting. But I think I also have my blog fixed so you can't find it on a search engine. But, here is some comment love. I feel your pain - no one leaves me any comments either (except you!)

P.S. Can I pretty pretty please be on your blogroll? I'm not sure if my blog has what it takes, but if I need to make some adjustments, let me know!
